Commissioned to Write

The Legend of Booger Red
was a song Joe Ed Coffman was commissioned to write for a movie with the same name. It was filmed in Palo Duro Canyon in 2003, near Amarillo, Texas. A kind of dramatic - Comedy - Western. Joe Ed was the narrator, wrote the title song, also played the role of  a "medicine man" in the movie.

Texas Legacies

In 2004, Joe Ed Coffman was honored to portray his adopted Great Grandfather, Quanah Parker, in the Texas Panhandle Heritage Foundation's Production Texas Legacies in the Palo Duro Canyon outdoor theater just south of Amarillo. Quanah Parker was the last Comanche Chief and was responsible for saving the Comanche people from genocide, helping them in the transition of life into the white man’s world.

Joe Ed's fourth up-coming CD is entitled "Quanah Parker" . . . soon to be released and is dedicated to Quanah and the Comanche people.
